The engineering studio on your side of the county line.

Dynamo Directive is based in Alachua. Between Main Street’s small businesses and the biotech corridor at Progress Park, our home town holds both ends of our client spectrum, and for once, "local vendor" means actually local.

Why Alachua

A town with two economies

Alachua pairs a working Main Street (trades, restaurants, family businesses that have run for decades) with one of the state’s densest biotech clusters at Progress District and UF’s Sid Martin Biotech incubator. We’re built for both: honest brochure-to-platform work for the Main Street operator, and custom data tools, portals, and AI integrations for the science-and-startup side.

And

What "local" gets you here

For Alachua businesses, working with us is as local as software gets: same town, same area code, and a team you’ll run into at the grocery store. That doesn’t change how we build (senior engineering, modern stack, systems we operate after launch); it just removes every excuse for a vendor being unreachable.

Questions operators actually ask
Are you actually based in Alachua?

Yes, Alachua, Florida is home base, area code 352. We’re a service-area business: no storefront to walk into, but for Alachua clients, meetings are a five-minute arrangement rather than a scheduling project. Most delivery runs remotely regardless of where a client sits, because that keeps senior engineers building instead of driving.

Do you work with businesses at Progress District / Sid Martin Biotech?

That’s our neighborhood. For labs, startups, and research-adjacent companies we build custom data dashboards, internal tools, client portals, and AI integrations: the connective software between instruments, spreadsheets, and the people who need the numbers. Our Kutta case study shows the kind of AI data-visualization work we ship.

What do you build for Main Street businesses?

Websites that actually generate calls, AI phone agents that answer when you’re with a customer, booking and intake that fills itself out, and simple back-office tools that replace the nightly spreadsheet session. Small scope is fine: our WebApp Starter exists precisely so an Alachua small business can get custom work at a flat monthly price.

Why hire you over a Gainesville or national agency?

Because you get a senior team, not an account manager, and it lives here. No handoff layers, no offshore ticket queue, no re-explaining your business every quarter. And because we operate what we build: hosting, monitoring, and improvements stay with us, which is the part most agencies quietly drop after launch.

Can you meet in person this week?

Almost certainly. For Alachua and High Springs businesses we can usually sit down within a few days. Coffee on Main Street works. Book a call first so we arrive knowing your business, and bring whatever spreadsheet is currently running your operation; that’s usually where the conversation starts.

What happens on the first call?

Thirty minutes: how the work flows today, where it leaks, and whether custom software, an AI agent, or neither is the honest answer. If there’s a fit, we follow with a short discovery pass and a scoped number. If there isn’t, we’ll tell you what to buy off the shelf instead, cheaper for you, better for our reputation.
